Serving loved Ones seeking a balanced approach to Justice for victims of unsolved crime in Los Angeles. Cliff Jr. native of Santa Monica. We at the Encouragement Project seek to Ignite and Empower survivors, friends, loved ones around the loss of loved ones.

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.

Loved ones seeking a balanced approach to justice

The Encouragement Group is inspired by the life of Cliff Jr., a young, driven, keen individual out to do great things in his life! Yet Cliff was murdered at 21 years of age by the hands of an unknown killer. Although we don't know who killed Cliff, Cliff's encouraging legacy lives on.

We use the Power of Voice & Policy to embrace and encourage the plight for Justice of those impacted by senseless loss.

About
The Encouragement Group

In 2016, our Co-founder Donna, met with a local leader of interfaith, Reverend Janet McKeithen, they spoke about Loss and its effects, There Donna gathered a diverse group of Community members to take a closer look into issues of grief and loss. The Encouragement group, did not just involve survivors of Homicide, but people who were experiencing a variety of loss.

The Encouragement Group committed to creating a safe space in which people met together regularly to share their losses, concerns and joys. Donnas integrative approach to Healing and Grief became transformative. This unique approach brought together loved ones with diverse backgrounds to empower the Encouragement Project to take off

How we help loved ones seeking a balanced approach to Justice

In the wake of far too many homicides, and unjust systems we recognize the Power of Voice & Policy to encourage the plight for Justice for those impacted by loss. These loved ones who are directly impacted are least likely to sit at the table of resolution. We promote a balanced approach to justice and change. Here's how:

We Encourage

the Power of Community to lift up their voices through dialogue, art, healthy expression and sensible solutions

We Support

Policies that speak to real solutions for Justice and Healing

We Partner

With people and amazing organizations who have a heart for healing, creating community and supporting loved ones

We Have

Had great conversations with community leaders, policy holders. Together we have lead Justice walks, lobbied for real solutions, create and develop engaging workshops and continue to encourage and learn as we seek a balanced approach to justice

Process

Community Support

We host community meetings for those grieving loss and seeking resources on healing and justice. To find out how you can attend, or refer a friend who might want to, get in touch with us.
